I have plans to create a two projects with hexagonal grid. Instead of preparing maps in Excel, I have decided to create my own tool. I decided to use Defold for that purpose because it has the functionality that I need. For this application, I use a lot of extensions, but it seems this is the Defold way.
Currently, I’m able to draw hexagonal map, move canvas, work with multiple levels, and save data in JSON format.
Tool in its early stages doesn't have a lot of functionality, but it already allows me to start developing levels for my project.
